He has led residencies at The Banff\nCentre Canada, run workshops around the world and taught widely in the London\ndrama schools and colleges.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Internationally known for his innovative performance\nworkshops, Luke was from 2002 to 2009 Artistic Director of the International\nWorkshop Festival bringing leading theatre practitioners from around the world\nto the UK to run workshops, give performances and demonstrations and create\nwork. Highlights included Kwoto, a group of young actors from the Displaced\nPeoples Camps of Khartoum; Falos &amp; Stercus, the Brazilian fetish circus;\nand from Finland, the fire performance collective Flamma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a key member of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/theconwaycollective\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">The Conway Collective<\/a><\/strong> Luke was one of a group of leading performance makers&nbsp;creating and curating work at London&#8217;s Conway Hall (2012 \u2013 2018) from live art and spoken word to dance spectaculars. Luke\u2019s book,&nbsp;<em>PLAY-ACTING, a guide to theatre workshops<\/em>&nbsp;is published by Methuen in the UK and by Routledge in the US and is a widely used text in drama schools. His four best-selling&nbsp;<em>Good Audition Guides to Shakespeare<\/em>&nbsp;are published by Nick Hern Books, and his&nbsp;<em>Creating Solo Performance<\/em>&nbsp;(with Sean Bruno) is published by Routledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke\u2019s Doctorate is in <em>The\nPerformance of Gender<\/em>.
